Kristen specializes in comprehensive psychoeducational assessments for children ages 5-16 and has been a school psychologist for 20 years. She provides expert consultation services to families and school teams, helping to support students' academic and emotional well-being. In addition, Kris serves as an assessment consultant and researcher for Alpha Schools and 2-Hour Learning Schools, based in Austin, Texas.  Kris was the New Hampshire’s School Psychologist of the Year in 2011 for her dedication to supporting students, educators, and families. She has been an active volunteer with the New Hampshire Disaster Behavioral Health Response Team (DBHRT) for the last 10 years and has previously contributed her time to a therapeutic equestrian facility assisting individuals with disabilities. For the past 5 years Kris and her dog, York have received ongoing certification from the Alliance of Therapy Dogs (ATD), allowing them to provide comfort and support in various settings as therapy dog and handler.

Kristen earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Simmons College, focusing on research, child development, pediatric assessment, and biopsychology. She completed long-term internships at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital and the Rivendell Child, Adolescent, and Family Unit at Thomas Walker Hospital.  Following her work as a research assistant at Massachusetts General Hospital, Kristen pursued her master’s and advanced graduate degrees in School Psychology from Tufts University. Since then, she has worked across public, private, parochial, and alternative schools, providing assessments, counseling, and consultation services. To ensure the highest standard of care, Kristen is committed to professional supervision from veteran clinicians.

Excited about learning, education and sharing knowledge, Kris has delivered numerous trainings and workshops for parents, educators, and school teams on topics such as learning disabilities, ADHD, executive functioning, and interpreting assessment data. She has also been part of research teams that have presented findings at the Eastern Psychological Association and the National Association of School Psychologists' annual conferences.  Kris is a Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP) and holds School Psychologist certifications in New Hampshire and Massachusetts, as well as licensure through the New Hampshire Board of Psychology. She is an active member of the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP).

 

Kris is dedicated to helping children succeed by understanding their unique learning strengths and challenges. She is also committed to delivering thoughtful, evidence-based insights to help children, families, and educators make informed decisions that support student success.
